Does anybody know biblical allusions in Of Mice and Men?

Lennie and George's relationship is similar to cain and able. (George killing Lennie) Cain leads able into a field and george leads lennie to the river and kills him.Does anybody know biblical allusions in Of Mice and Men?
George's last name probably refers to John Milton and his poem Paradise Lost, which includes the Biblical stories of Adam, Eve, Cain, and Abel. Everything comes full circle when you realize these Biblical stories are reflected in Of Mice and Men
