Is it hard being a Nurse? Do nurses make a good living?? i.e.. nice car, mice house?

Do you mean a people nurse? Or a nurse for animals? (since this is posted in the Pets section)

A nurse can earn 40-60,000$ a year or more. However, expect to be on your feet. Expect 10-12 hour shifts. Some places have weird schedules where you may work all evening one night but be scheduled to be in early the next morning. You need to be good with people, patient, and pay attention to details. Is it hard being a Nurse? Do nurses make a good living?? i.e.. nice car, mice house?
My mother has been a nurse for as long as I can remember, so I'll tell you everything I've seen through my childhood and adulthood.

-Nursing takes up alot of time. Not only is the training to become a nurse time consuming, but you'll end up spending more time at work than in most other professions.

-Your feet will ache and swell from being standing all day

-If you make a mistake concerning meds, it can cost you your liscence, so you have to be alert all the time.

-There is a lot of workplace drama/politics and competition in the nursing field, especially in long term care.

-With 16 years of experience, my mom makes $32 an hour. I think she started somewhere around $15 an hour back in the 80's, so its a decent living.

-We've had large car payments my entire life, now we have two large car payments.

-However, my mom lives in a single-wide trailor that's falling apart.

So, yes, nursing is good money after you have lots of experience, but getting started in the career is the hard part. I know that nursing can be a very rewarding career, even if it is thankless at times.

Best of luck for you!Is it hard being a Nurse? Do nurses make a good living?? i.e.. nice car, mice house?
Given hard work, proper investments, etc. anyone can afford a good house and car. Nurses are in dire need, so you will have a job, guaranteed. Nursing is as hard as you make it. If you find helping people, interacting, and working under pressure difficult, it may be hard. But it is also highly rewarding.

More money comes in going back to school, and the specializing in something in nursing.

I do assume you mis posted this in the pets section, right?
im guessing this question is under pets cause your a pet nurse! ok, i know that nurses are in need, and that you will certainly get a good job. you will also be working with animals and if that is what you want, you wont care what kind of car you have. it also depends on where you work for a nice house, and you can save up for a really nice house.

hope i helped!
