I have a question about mice?

Well, I have always been a hamster person, but i was thinking my hamster is going to eventually die of old age :(, and so would having mice be much different? Also do they smell bad?I have a question about mice?
Mice do have a naturally musky odor but it's not that bad if their habitat is cleaned regularly. Females smell less %26amp; if you want to adopt more than 1 you should have females.

We've lived with *lots* of mice %26amp; hamsters. There are some similarities in their habits %26amp; how you care for them. Both are nocturnal, usually enjoy exercise wheels %26amp; can use the same type of cage, water bottle, toys %26amp; bedding. Make sure that the cage bars are close enough together so that your mice can't squeeze through though. Like hamsters, mice have individual personalities %26amp; some are friendlier than others. I've heard that some mice bite, but I've *never* been bit by a mouse except the 1st time I've handled a pup after their eyes have opened %26amp; most pups don't don't even do that.

Mice require less fat %26amp; protein in their diets than hamsters but there are specially made foods you can get for them. Mice also jump %26amp; climb a *lot* more than hamsters do so they appreciate hanging toys %26amp; boxes in their cage. A well socialized mouse is comfortable sitting on your shoulder but a hamster is likely to slip. Mice also use their tails which hamsters obviously can't do. They'll wrap their tails around your finger in a little mouse hug %26amp; rattle them if their annoyed.I have a question about mice?
a mouse doesn't really have much of a smell imo. however, the droppings and pee can get really smelly if you are diligent about keeping its cage clean. unfortunately small animals like mice don't live much past 3 years on average. :(
Mice's urine does smell worse than a hamster's.

Mice are very agile and acrobatic, more than a hamster; and not as fragile as a hamster. Better climbers than hamsters.

But the care is pretty much the same.
If you are talking about if a gerbil stink they totally do. My moms kindergarten teachers had some and they stunk. I would advise you not to get mice/gerbils.
Well I have hamsters and they live quite awhile. Well one ate the others head but were not talking about that now! Wait till your hamster dies then go to the pet store for best answers.
