Here are a few of the numerous free on line resources that can help you with your work with Of Mice and Men, most of which analyze the story, give excellent chapter summaries, discuss themes and symbolism and other literary devices, and give character sketches. They should help you with your work on this novel.

well... unless i'm forgetting something about Of Mice and Men. i have no idea what the adam eve/cain able story has anything to do about it.

what your teacher is probably talking about. is you made some blanket statement

the biblical stories of adam and eve are related to cain and abel because their main aspects symbolizes the imperfection of human kind

and then gave no details. especially how it related to Of Mice and men.

you said... the A%26amp;E story related to C%26amp;A because of main aspects symbolize the imperfection blah blah blah

what main aspect?

main aspects of adam an eve... garden of eden. the creation of man. the garden itself. knowledge etc. the temptation of the snake. the shift from... being free and open. to ';knowing'; and being afraid and self conscious etc.

in C%26amp;A the aspects of human condition..jealousy, rage, envy, murder... betrayal. consequence, abandonment... i dunno. my bible stories are a bit rusty.

pick some examples and tie them to your point... of the imperfection of human kind.

which... is again vague and disjointed.

could try and be more specific. pick up on ideas of peer pressure, group think/mob mentality. Rage... emotions that get away from you. reactions due to fear... or guilt. like...of getting caught.

these more specific references are then easily tied into of mice and men.

if that's the ultimate goal.

adam and eve tried to hide themselves from god, after eating the fruit. they were ashamed. afraid. ...sure this aspect of being caught ties into C%26amp;A story. same thing with Lenny. and killing things. his brother covering up for him.

aspects of jealousy or rage. the ranch hand who wore the glove, his insecurities and ill temper as a reaction to his short comings.

the desire for people to believe in hope... foolish hope. having hope dashed. the destruction of the ';garden'; eden in the bible. Lenny and Geor'ge ideal of getting some land of their own. etc.

Aspects of brothers...relationships of brothers. C%26amp;A probably for this. being both beholden and burdend by your sibling. Using them for your own means. Watching out for them. being angry with them etc.

trick to bullsh*tting a school paper is picking up on as specific a detail as possible and making a case on that. Then warping general theories around your specific detail. not warping vague details around a specific theory.
